Langkawi is the most beautiful cities in Kedah, an archipelago consisting of 99 islands and five additional temporary Islands being disclosed at low tide in the Andaman Sea. These islands are part of the Kedah state, bordering Thailand.

The largest of these islands called "Pulau Langkawi", with a population of nearly 45,000 people. The advantage of Langkawi as a free zone and is exempt from customs duties.
